RE Workshops

As part of our whole school Religious Education topics, children in school learnt all about different World religions. We also invited John O’Brien to come into school and run some special workshops with all of the classes. This was to help the children learn about Christmas and why this is an important festival to Christians. The children took part in lots of different fun activities from playing games, researching on the computers and making their own pictures and displays. Here are some of our Y6 children hard at work.

Stories with Santa night

Tonight we held our special “Stories with Santa” evening in our Main Hall. The hall was decorated to look like Santa’s grotto with special cushions, book cases and a book stall. We had an amazing turn out with over 100 people coming along to share a book, enjoy cookies and hot chocolate and then have a story read by Santa!

Everyone who came along also received a special reading gift from Santa to help with our home reading.

Thank you to Mrs Daniels for organising this special event and for everyone coming along.
