Fox Hill House Teams!

This term sees the launch of our new House Teams and our House Points system at Fox Hill Primary!

Following consultation with the children and staff, our teams are named after predator cats:

House Teams

We also consulted with everyone to see what things we felt were important enough to earn a house point and came up with the following things:

What can I get house points for

On Friday 17th April we launched the House Teams with a special assembly and introduced the children to their new House Leaders:

During class time, children were told which teams they are in and presented with a special badge to remind them. From Monday they will be able to start earning house points. Let’s see who the first winning team will be!

Let’s go Fox Hill Houses!

Our new Nursery!

We are really proud of our new Nursery! Staff have worked around the clock to make it look amazing.

This afternoon we held an open session for new parents to come along and visit and we had some fantastic feedback with everyone loving the new classroom and provision for the children.

Well done to the FS1 Team – we are looking forward to the children all being  back on Monday!

Nursery

What a brilliant first day!

The first  day of the new Fox Hill Primary was a real success. Thank you to all the positive feedback. It was lovely to hear such positive things about our new building and are glad that our families feel as proud as it as we do! The children were amazing and settled into the new building and routines with no fuss and were so excited. High standards all day long! Well done everyone!

We had our first assembly and everyone came into the new hall sensibly, quietly and sat down quickly. We talked about our new academy and some of the ways we can look after it. We shared our Vision and reminded everyone of the special values which underpin it. We then had children model our new uniform jumpers which children would each get at the end of the day as a welcome back present.

First assembly

We then had our first ever fire evacuation practice and the children were again amazing! Everyone had evacuated and were lined up sensibly in the correct places in under two minutes!

First fire drill

Playtimes and lunchtimes ran smoothly with the children following the new rotas and trying hard to get along with everyone. A really happy and fun time for everyone!

First playtime

Well done everyone for your hard work and enthusiasm which helped to make today a really special day. Thank you to all of our families for your support too.

Welcome to the all new Fox Hill Primary!

On Thursday 16th April 2015 we officially opened the brand new Fox Hill Primary!

Our staff teams have worked around the clock over the Easter holidays and over the past few days to unpack, sort, move furniture and prepare the learning environment for our children. We are really pleased with the end result. Here are a few snaps of our new Learning Resource Centre:

LRC 1 LRC 2

Our whole academy topic is “Tiger in a tropical storm” and as you can see our LRC has been immersed to look like a jungle! Watch out for the tiger and if you listen carefully you will hear the sounds of the jungle too!
